Steven B - In Flight

Soaring High with Steven B's "In Flight": A Smooth Jazz Escapade

Steven B, a name quickly becoming synonymous with sophisticated smooth jazz, has delivered another gem with his latest track, "In Flight." This isn't just a song; it's an experience, a sonic journey that evokes the feeling of effortless gliding through the air.

From the opening notes, "In Flight" establishes a relaxed and inviting atmosphere. B's signature saxophone, the heart and soul of the track, is both mellow and expressive, his notes dancing around the melody with a breezy elegance. The instrumentation is carefully layered, creating a rich tapestry of sound without ever feeling cluttered. The subtle percussion lays a steady, grounding rhythm, while the keyboards add a touch of ethereal beauty, mimicking the clouds passing by.

What truly elevates "In Flight" is its ability to transport you. Close your eyes, and you can almost feel the gentle turbulence, see the sun glinting off the wings, and experience the liberating feeling of being above it all. It's the perfect soundtrack for a quiet evening, a reflective drive, or simply escaping the everyday hustle.

While firmly rooted in the smooth jazz genre, "In Flight" manages to avoid feeling formulaic. Steven B brings a unique sensibility to the table, showcasing his masterful control and genuine passion for the music. The song builds gradually, reaching a satisfying crescendo before gently floating back down to earth.

Dave Georgetti - Funkin' Around

Hailing from Florida, is composer/guitar player Dave Georgetti. We got to hear his song "Funkin' Around," and let me tell you, he can play his ass off. Dave has been playing since he was young, and it truly shows. When I got the song, I put the track on my phone, took it to my car, and played while I ran errands. The music is nice, and was a great companion for my running around the city. It is a smooth instrumental song, perfect music to put on when you have company over. Everything is on point, the song is mixed very well, too. Check him out at http://davegeorgetti.com.

Fiji artist Rob Vemma, has a wonderful song out called Slippery Cat. When I first played this song, I was in the car, windows up, air conditioning on, in a world of my own.
